Confused.com allows customers to easily compare prices and features of insurance or financial products marketed by the major financial institutions. Confused.com is looking for a talented candidate to expand its operations to Italy. Position: Technical Leader Education: •Undergraduate in IT Engineeringa top tier University •Additional IT certifications desired Requirements: •3-5 years of IT experience •Detailed understanding of Internet technologies (e.g., XML, Web Services, SOAP, HTML, DHTML) •Prior hands on experience in development/coding (ASP.NET, ASP, PHP, C, C++, VB, others) •Exposure or Hands on Experience of working on SQL SERVER or ORACLE databases •Experience in Software engineering and project management •Ability to manage and lead a project, but also to get things done by oneself when necessary •Experience in working in a multicultural/multi-site environment •Native Italian speaker, proficient in Business English (spoken and written) Other desired skills: •Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services •Experience in Consulting •Prior experience in B2B or B2C web environments •Notions of IT infrastructure (Networking, Operating Systems Management -Office & Hosting-) •Ability to work autonomously and proactively, with high level of energy and motivation •Team player with a start-up/’can-do’ mindset •Good communication and social skills Responsibilities: •Lead front-end and back-end development projects involving teams in various locations •Manage the interaction and integration with external partners •Regular testing of the various developments (e.g., website, interfaces) •Support the company IT infrastructure (servers -email, networking-, domains, hosting and related services -backup, SSL, etc.-) •Ensure IT business requirements (e.g., changes to interfaces) are timely met Location: Milan (Italy) Contract: Full-time Compensation: Competitive package based on experience Contact: serena.cellamare@confused.com
